How does the Swedish Category B theory test work?

The official Category B theory test contains 70 multiple-choice questions. Five are sample questions that do not count, so the maximum score is 65. You need 52 correct answers to pass, and the regular test time is 50 minutes. Trafikverket also requires both parts of the compulsory risk training to be completed and valid before you take the theory test.

A Category B theory test passed on or after 19 August 2026 is valid for one year. A test passed before 19 August 2026 keeps the previous four-month validity period. The Category B theory test can be booked in British English.
